Team Missions

Short Term Mission Trips

Starfish Ministries leads four short term mission trips to Haiti each year. These teams are usually organized by a local church or a youth ministry organization. The duration of the trip varies depending upon the goals of the trip but generally is an eight to ten day trip. Starfish Ministries Mission Trip Purpose Statement is:

1. Allow God to impact team members lives for His purposes.
2. Encourage Haitian brothers and sisters in Christ as we worship and minister with them.
3. Present the gospel of our Lord through Bible School, Evangelistic Crusades and other opportunities.
4. Work on Starfish Ministries physical projects helping to build churches, schools and children's homes.
5. Nurture our children in the orphanage as we love them, hold them, play with them and share with them.

The specific focus of the team varies depending on the team's giftedness. We have had several college ministry teams very successfully teach English to our children in the orphanage. Other church groups have focused on evangelistic outreach in neighboring villages. Other teams have focused more on construction projects. We look forward to having future teams focus on medical needs. Teams also help with distribution of clothing and other items in the orphanage and villages.
